Biography

Dave was on the books of Stoke City before moving into non-league with Stone Dominoes (00/01). ‘Macca’ joined Leek Town (2000-06:280+11,58) in January 2001 and served the Blues for six years, being named Supporters’ Player of the Year in 2002 and gaining two England caps whilst playing for the national Futsal team in Lithuania in November 2005.
In May 2007 he signed for Hednesford Town (07/08:13+1,1) before linking up with Witton Albion (07/08:33+1,5) in October 2007. Signed for Blue Square North Stafford Rangers at the start of the 08/09 campaign but left in December briefly returning to Leek (08/09:3,2) before the short move to Nantwich in January 2009. Scored on his debut in the 3-2 defeat at Ilkeston Town, 17/01/2009. Returned to Witton as player-assistant coach in the 2010 close season, stepping up to become player/joint-manager in January 2011.
Left Wincham Park in June 2011 to take ownership of a farm and signed playing forms with Newcastle Town (11/12:13,7). Re-joined the Dabbers in October 2011 and returned to Hednesford (2012-14:69+16,11) during the 2012 close season. Moved on to Kidsgrove Athletic in October 2014. A third spell at Leek from the 2015 close season took his tally of appearances for the Blues to 303. Signed for Hanley Town in March 2016 and in February 2017 he joined Alsager Town. Signed NWCL forms again for Hanley in September 2019.
