Biography

Joined the Crewe Alexandra youth set-up at the age of ten going on loan to Leek Town (2004-05:19,0) as a teenager. Joined Stafford Rangers (2006-07:78+1lge) on a season-long loan in 2006/07, signing permanently for Boro after his release from Gresty Road in May 2007.

Joined Northwich Victoria in May 2008 and after making 4 Blue Square Premier appearances, signed for FC Halifax Town on a month’s loan. Made the switch to the Shaymen permanent in January 2009. Joined Nantwich during the 2009 close season, making his debut in the 3-2 home win over Whitby Town, 15/08/2009.

Signed for Port Vale (10/11:5+6,0 lge) in the summer of 2010, making his League debut as a substitute in the 2-0 win at Bradford City, 04/09/2010. Joined Conference National side Mansfield Town (2011-14:153,0) when contract talks stalled in the summer of 2011. Helping the Stags to promotion to the Football League, he was a regular in their League side in 2013/14 and despite being named the club’s Player of the Season for 14/15, he dropped back into the Conference with relegated Tranmere Rovers (2015-18:115,11) in May 2015.

After a loan stint at Barrow (15/16:10,0) in March 2016, he helped Mansfield back into the Football League in 2018. Joined League Two rivals Morecambe (2018-19:33,1) in January 2019, moving on to Altrincham in August 2020.
After relinquishing the managerial reins at Nantwich, he returned to playing with Whitchurch Alport, Hednesford Town, Bootle and Kidsgrove Athletic (25/26).
