Biography
A prolific marksman with over 200 goals to his name. Part of the Alsager FC youth side who was then with Norton United, ‘Reedy’ joined Kidsgrove Athletic (2004-07:154,68) from Stallington in the summer of 2004. The burly front man teamed up with Michael Lennon, sharing 82 goals for ‘Grove in a single season. Became a record signing for Eastwood Town (07/08:27+7,17) when he transferred for a £4000 fee in September 2007. Returned to Kidsgrove to make a single loan appearance in September 2008.
Joined Nantwich in June 2009, scoring on his debut – a 3-2 home win over Whitby Town, 15/08/2009. Left for Congleton Town (09/10:20,19) in December 2009 on a month’s loan that became a permanent transfer. Re-joined Eastwood Town (10/11:35+7,13) in June 2010 and signed for Blue Square Bet North side Corby Town (11/12:30,13) in July 2011, switching to Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Mansfield Town (2011-14:135,16) in January 2012. Helped the Stags to the Conference title and made his Football League debut in the 2-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United, 03/08/2013.
Left Mansfield in May 2015 to join Lincoln City (2015-18:196,49) in the Conference National helping them to the FA Cup quarter-finals and promotion back to the Football League in 16/17 and then up to League One. Joined Billericay Town (19/20:10+1,2) for an undisclosed fee in July 2019. Signed for Boreham Wood (19/20:5+2,1) in February 2020.
Signed for Alfreton Town (2021-23) in July 2021, returning to Kidsgrove Athletic (2024-25) in the 2024 close season after his release from the Impact Arena. Appointed joint player-Manager of Grove with Tom Pope in February 2025.
