Biography

Centre-half who featured for Nantwich just after the war when the Dabbers played on the Barony. Moved on to Crewe Corinthians (46/47) during the season, re-joining the Dabbers in the summer of 1948. Also appeared for the Crewe Alexandra 'A' team. His brother Don played for Nantwich Youth against Manchester United Youth in 1952. Nicknamed ‘Withem’ for shouting "Stay With ‘em" during matches.
