Biography

Dave was appointed Middlewich Athletic Manager in February 1979 and left to become Congleton Town boss in the 1981 close season. Appointed Assistant Manager at Nantwich in the summer of 1985. Took over the reins in December 1985 following Dave Cooke’s resignation but stood down six weeks later.

Then managed Congleton Town Reserves, resigning in February 1987, Mid-Cheshire League side Hanley Town (1988-89), Middlewich (again), Alsager Town and Audley. Took charge of Kidsgrove Athletic reserves (93/94) and Knypersley Victoria reserves stepping up to become Joint Manager of Knypersley in the summer of 1995, later taking sole charge, and then stepping up to the position of Chairman (99/00).
