Biography

The full back served Congleton Town (83/84:5,0), Nantwich and Hanley Town before joining Leek Town in the summer of 1987. Re-joined Congleton (90/91:5,0), then serving Kidsgrove Athletic (1991-92) and Leek CSOB. ‘Clowsy’ spent three years coaching at Knypersley Victoria serving as Assistant Manager (98/99) before becoming Manager at Alsager (1999-2006) at Christmastime 1999. Gained the Division 2 Manager of the Month award in March 2002 and guided the Bullets to promotion from the NWCL Second Division at the end of that season. Scooped the NWCL Division 1 Manager of the Month accolade for December 2005.

Appointed Manager at Newcastle Town in January 2007, switching to the Stafford Rangers hotseat in the summer of 2011. Relieved of his duties at Marston Road in September 2013, he took over the reins at Market Drayton Town the following month but stood down at the end of the season.
