Biography

Ged started at Oldham Athletic, who released him in summer 1999. Had brief spells at Barrow and Stafford Rangers before he joined Nuneaton Borough (99/00:13+5,2) in October 1999. Moved to Hyde United (00/01:3+1,0) in September 2000 and then Leigh RMI (00/01:1+1,0 lge) in May 2001.

Signed for Stalybridge Celtic (01/02:34+6,1) in the summer of 2001, switching to Tameside rivals Droylsden in August 2002. Then signed for Altrincham (05/06:23+1,0) in early November 2005 and played for Radcliffe Borough on loan that month before becoming a regular for Alty. After being released in May 2006, the tenacious midfielder returned to Stafford (06/07:34+4,0lge), switching to Conference rivals Droylsden (07/08:18+13,0) for the 2007/08 season.

Dropped into the UniBond Premier with Bradford Park Avenue (08/09:8+3,0) before signing for Salford City in March 2009. Joined Nantwich in time to make his debut in the 2-1 home win over Matlock Town, 01/01/2010. Joined Ashton United (2009-11:87,0) in March 2010 and then served Prescot Cables (2012-13), returning to Droylsden as player-coach in January 2014.
