Biography
Jimmy was a tenacious midfielder who came through the youth ranks at Wrexham, gaining extensive League experience but whose professional career was halted by a manslaughter conviction in 1996 following a nightclub brawl. Made his League debut for Wrexham (1990-91:11+10,0lge) in the 90/91 campaign, moving on to Wolverhampton Wanderers (1991-93:4+3,0lge) in February 1992.
In March 1993, went on loan to Walsall (92/93:9+3,2) and was loaned back to Wrexham (93/94:9,0lge) in March 1994. In August 1998, he signed for Hednesford Town (1998-99:30+1,0) before a £15,000 fee took him to Doncaster Rovers (2000-01:66+6,5) in May 2000. In June 2002 he switched to Chester City (02/03:29+4,1), signing for Scarborough (03/04:37,3) in September 2003 and then Morecambe (2004-05:25+7,1) in May 2004.
The journeyman then joined Lancaster City (06/07) in May 2006, moving on to Droylsden (06/07:22+3,2) in December 2006, crossing the Welsh border to Rhyl (2007-08:13+2,1lge) in June 2007. In December 2008 he signed for Fleetwood Town (08/09) and the following season helped Colwyn Bay to promotion from the Evo-Stik First Division North.
In July 2011 he arrived at Nantwich from Ashton United (10/11:36,0). The 38 year old was installed as club captain but departed for Congleton Town (11/12:9,1) in September 2011 before being named player-coach at Conwy Borough in June 2012.
