Biography
Danny had a spell at Bury and then a year with Northwich Victoria. Had a brief loan spell at Trafford (94/95:1,0) before joining Congleton Town (1995-96:88:6) in July 1995. In July 1997 he moved with his older brother, Chris, to Altrincham (99/00:41) before leaving his job as a postman and stepping up from the Conference to the Football League in August 2000 with Macclesfield Town (2000-03:166+3,2) in August 2000 for a £25,000 fee.
Made his League debut at home to Lincoln City, 12/09/2000, going on to make the left back position his own, winning the Silkmen’s Player of the Year award in 01/02. Moved on to Stockport County (2003-04:39,1lge) in March 2004 and then signed for Huddersfield Town (2005-06:68,0lge) in March 2005. Joined Morecambe (2006-09) in February 2007, helping them to the Conference title and then being named Player of the Season in Morecambe’s inaugural season in the Football League in 07/08. Signed for Stalybridge Celtic (09/10:7,0) after the Shrimps released him in March 2010, having made 114 League appearances for them. Joined the Dabbers in the 2010 close season but left Nantwich for Witton Albion (10/11:9+2,0) in December 2010. Re-joined the Dabbers in March 2011, being released at the end of the campaign.
