Biography
Dangerous forward who was on the books of Crewe Alexandra as a youngster and then played in Northern Ireland with Finn Harps. ‘Maz’ was also with Leek Town (2000-02) and Biddulph Victoria (04/05) from where he signed for Nantwich during the 2005 close season, making his debut in the 2-0 home win over Bacup Borough, 13/08/2005. Gained a FA Vase Winner’s medal before re-joining Biddulph on loan in November 2006. Later signed permanently for Vics scoring 9 goals in 07/08.
Switched to Congleton Town (08/09:25,16) during the 2008 close season but returned to Biddulph in the summer of 2009. Made over 200 appearances in three spells at Tunstall Road and became their highest ever league scorer when he netted his 79th league goal. Switched to Alsager Town in March 2011 and then back to Congleton (12/13:4+4,1) in the summer of 2012. Re-joined Alsager (12/13:4+4,2) in September 2012.
Played for Crewe FC and was then at 1874 Northwich (13/14) during the early part of their founding season before switching to NWCL Division One rivals Eccleshall in January 2014. Also featured for Sandbach Town (15/16) in the Crewe & District League.
