Biography

First appeared for the Dabbers in the Cheshire County League before the outbreak of World War 2 and also played for Willaston White Star (38/39). Featured again for Nantwich after the war in the Crewe & District Amateur Combination. Joined the committee at the 1947 AGM and was renowned as a formidable cricketer with Nantwich CC, playing 28 matches for Cheshire from 1939 to 1954.
