Biography

Kevin was on Arsenal’s books helping the youth team to lift the FA Youth Cup in 1971. Unable to break into the first team at Highbury, he joined Burnley (75/76:6,1) in May 1975, making his First Division debut against Liverpool. In May 1976, he transferred to Port Vale (1976-77:31,2) and was loaned to Swansea City (77/78:2) in February 1978.

Colin Hutchinson brought him to Nantwich in August 1978 following his release from Vale Park, and he had an immediate impact, netting twice in a 5-3 Cheshire County League victory at New Mills and earning selection for the FA Non-League XI in a representative match against the University Athletics Union in March 1979. Later that month a £800 fee took him to Northern Premier League side Stafford Rangers.

Returned to Nantwich in October 1979 for a fee of £400 before following Hutchinson to Droylsden for a fee of £750 in December 1979. Left Droylsden in December 1980 and joined Chorley. Helped Colwyn Bay (1982-85) to the Welsh League (North) title in 82/83, leaving the Welsh club in October 1985 for a short spell back at Nantwich. Away from football, Kevin became a successful businessman as Managing Director of NW Fuels.
