Biography

Andy graduated through the youth ranks at Port Vale, making one senior appearance in a FA Cup defeat at Luton Town, 09/01/1974. The ex-England youth international was signed by Northwich Victoria (75/6:16,1) on a free transfer in May 1975 and moved on to Nantwich in November 1975 where he was a key member of the 1976 Cheshire Senior Cup winning squad.

The bearded right back commanded a £400 fee when he signed for Leek Town in December 1977. Left Harrison Park for Macclesfield Town (78/79:10+1,1), making his Macc debut in October 1978. Was back with Nantwich for the start of the 1979/80 campaign but followed boss Colin Hutchinson to Droylsden in December 1979. Returning again to Jackson Avenue in December 1980, he left in the summer of 1981 but again featured for the Dabbers in the 89/90 campaign.
