Biography
Russ was on the books of Crewe Alexandra before signing for Woodley Sports in the summer of 2007. Whilst at Hartpury College, he featured for Hellenic Premier outfit Shortwood United, switching to Cirencester Town (08/09:23+2,0) in October 2008 where he picked up the players’ Player of the Season Award before returning north to sign for Salford City.
Joined Rhyl in January 2010. Became club captain and helped the Lilywhites to the Cymru Alliance title in 12/13 before joining the Dabbers during the summer of 2013. Made his Nantwich debut in the 2-0 home win over King’s Lynn, 17/08/2013 but returned to Welsh football with Gap Connah’s Quay Nomads in January 2014.
Moved to Australia in April 2014, signing for Tasmian Premier side Tilford Zebras. On his return to the UK, he re-joined Connah’s Quay (14/15:23+1,2) in January 2015 but without managing to forge a regular place, was released in April 2015. Signed for Flint Town United (15/16:25,5) in September 2015.
