Biography
Norman was a left winger or defender who joined the Dabbers from Willaston White Star in December 1950, making his debut in a 8-2 defeat at Lostock Gralam, 16/12/1950. Nicknamed ‘Monty’, he moved on to Baronia Rangers (51/2) and occasionally helped Nantwich ‘on loan’ when the Dabbers were short of numbers.
Returned to Willaston White Star (1954-58), giving service to the villagers for many years, broken by a stint with Whitchurch Alport (56/57). Outside of football, he was employed by the British Rail Signal and Telegraph service.
