Biography

A dangerous winger, Jeff was with Crewe Alexandra as a junior, playing for the ‘A’ side (58/59) in the Mid-Cheshire League before rising to the Alex’s first team (1960-62:9,2lge). Then served Wigan Athletic (1962-63) and Winsford United (1964-65) joining Northwich Victoria (1966-67:58,24) before returning to Winsford (1967-68) where he became Player-Manager.

Joined Nantwich in the summer of 1969, moving on to Sandbach Ramblers in December 1970, being made club captain (71/72). Later helped Rolls Royce to the Mid-Cheshire League title in 76/77. Tragically died in a road traffic accident at the age of 52.
