Biography
Inside right who served Rhyl and Oswestry Town before joining Nantwich. Dave made his debut in the 3-0 Manchester League win at home to Macclesfield Town Reserves, 30/10/1965. Returned to Oswestry before joining Witton Albion (1965-67:56+9,0), making his debut in April 1966 and clocked up 44+5,0 lge & 12+4,0 cup appearances. Had a season with Ashton United (68/69:27,0) before returning to Nantwich in the 1969 close season. A life-long Manchester United fan, he sadly passed away from metastatic prostate cancer and is the subject of a moving book published in 2023, “United with Dad”, written by his son Simon Lloyd.
