Biography
A youth player with Nantwich Athletic, Arthur played for Haighton’s (35/36) before appearing for the Dabbers in the 1937/38 Cheshire County League campaign. The right winger was one of three Nantwich players who signed forms for Bolton Wanderers in May 1938 without making the Trotters’ first team. Signed for Winsford United in the summer of 1938 but was back at Nantwich by September 1938.
Continued his Nantwich career after the War and then served Baronia Rangers (1949-50). Son of George, he later lived in Hough.
