Biography

A prolific marksman over five seasons with Congleton Town (1959-63:174,59) in the Mid-Cheshire League, he stepped up to serve Northwich Victoria (63/64:16,4) in the Cheshire County League. Returned to Mid-Cheshire League football on joining Nantwich in the summer of 1964 but his impressive strike rate was reduced by five when Crewe Alex ‘A’ resigned from the league mid-season after crushing 7-0 and 8-0 defeats to the Dabbers
