Biography

A former youth trainee at Stoke City, he represented Cheshire Schoolboys and was with Witton Albion before becoming one of two debutant full-backs in the 2-0 home win over Bootle, 02/09/1995, with Dave O’Brien appearing at right back.

Also played with Willaston White Star but suffered horrific injuries in a road traffic accident in October 1998 which left him in a coma for nearly three weeks and ended his football career. Over the next few years he proved doctors wrong by making an inspirational recovery through sheer determination.
