Biography
The experienced defender had served Wrexham, Halifax Town, Southport (90/91:1,0) and St Helens Town (92/93) before joining Nantwich in the 1994 close season from Burscough (93/94). Ged made his debut in the 4-0 home win over Penrith, 13/08/1994.
A strong centre half, he left for Horwich RMI in October 1994 but the following month moved back to St Helens Town (94/95) and then Burscough again (1996-97). Became captain and then took over as caretaker-manager towards the end of the 01/02 season and in all made 350 appearances for the Linnets. In August 2002 he again returned to St Helens (02/03:36,3) before joining Runcorn FC Halton in July 2004 and then Prescot Cables. Switched to Witton Albion (04/05:3,0) in March 2005 and later figured for Newton.
