Biography
Young striker who joined Nantwich from local Potteries side Werrington Queen’s Park. Dave netted on his debut after coming on as a substitute in the 2-1 NW Counties League Cup tie at home to Colwyn Bay, 18/09/1984.
Released in March 1985, 'Newts' later played Mid-Cheshire League football with Alsager United (87/88) and went on to serve Audley (90/91). Gave great service to Cheshire Constabulary but sadly died from leukaemia at the age of just 57.
