Nantwich Town produced an amazing late show to grab all three points at Cheshire rivals Warrington Town.

The Dabbers were 2-0 with only eight minutes left when they turned the game on its head.

A brace from Sean Cooke and one from Curtis Jones stunned the home crowd of 300 to take the points in their Evo-Stik Premier League clash.

Lewis Colding had put Warrington in front on 10 minutes when defender Andy White’s slip let in the striker to fire past Dave Parton.

Cooke and Matt Bell both had good chances for Nantwich, who dominated the ball in the first period.

Warrington continued to hold on after the break, and then doubled their lead on 78 minutes in a rare attack, James McCarten firing home.

It looked to have sealed all three points, but Phil Parkinson’s men showed their fighting spirit in abundance.

In the 82nd minute, Cooke seized on a poor defensive clearance in the box and blasted past the Warrington stopper for 2-1.

Then four minutes later, Nantwich were level when Jones rose in the box and bulleted a header in from Cooke’s corner.

Warrington had a strong shout for a penalty waved away in the 91st minute, which looked to have earned Nantwich a deserved point.

But Cooke wasn’t finished. In the 94th minute, he picked up the ball and smashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

The victory moves the Dabbers up to 14th spot in 12 points, with one or two games in hand over their nearest rivals.
