Biography

Captain of the Clayton side that were champions of the Staffs County League North First Division in 1972/73, he served Mid-Cheshire League Moulton (73/74) before becoming part of Colin Hutchinson’s squad in October 1977, making his debut in the 2-1 home win over Ashton United, 08/10/1977.

Left for Eastwood (Hanley) in September 1978. Became a key member of the Dabbers’ 1981 Cheshire County League championship side during his second spell at London Road having returned from Eastwood when Jimmy Wallace became Manager in the summer of 1980. Released, with his brother Alan, in November 1981.
