Biography
Came up through the youth ranks at Preston North End (00/01:0+1,0) and was top scorer in their reserves in 1999/2000 with 20 goals. Joined Chester City (2000-03:80+18,34lge) in July 2000, topping their goal charts in his first two seasons. His three and a half years at the Deva Stadium were punctured by loan spells at Southport (03/04:6,1) in September 2003 and Droylsden before joining Conference title rivals Hereford United (03/04:5+10,2) in December 2003.
Moved on to Forest Green Rovers (2004-07) in June 2004 scoring 31 times and prompting Cambridge United (2007-09:45+25,13) to pay a five figure fee for his services in January 2008. Scored twice in a loan return to Chester in October 2009 and was loaned to Telford United (09/10:7+1,1) in March 2010 ahead of a permanent move to Fleetwood Town (10/11:1+4,0) in July 2010.
A loan stint at York City (10/11:2+1,0) in October 2010 was followed by a move to Altrincham (10/11:10+10,2) a month later. Released at the end of the season, he joined home-town club Burscough, becoming the leading marksman in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier with 13 goals before signing for Hednesford Town (11/12:10+6,1) in January 2012.
'Bees' was brought to Nantwich in June 2012, netting on his debut in the 5-0 win at Matlock Town, 18/08/2012. Bagged a couple of league goals on loan to Warrington Town in October 2012 and signed for Skelmersdale United on his release from Nantwich in February 2013. Returned to Burscough in the 2013 close season, becoming Caretaker Manager in October 2014 and taking on the role permanently in January 2015. Left the club in the summer of 2016, becoming Assistant Manager of Warrington Town (2017-19) a year later.
