Biography

Started out on the books of Stoke City but released and joined Audley (86/87) and then Eastwood Hanley (1987-91), stepping up to the first team at the end of the 1987/88 campaign. Moved on to Leek Town (1992-95) in the summer of 1992, topping the Blues’ scoring charts in three campaigns. Switched to Ashton United (1996-97:92,34) in the 1996 close season. Signed for Witton Albion (98/99:22,10) in the summer of 1998, before linking up with Newcastle Town (99/00) where his 20 league goals made him leading scorer.
In the summer of 2000, he re-joined Leek (00/01:25+2,6), taking his total of goals to 83 goals before signing for Kidsgrove Athletic (2000-05) in January 2001. Spent five years with ‘Grove, interspersed with a couple of loan spells at Nantwich in February 2003 and April 2006. Featured again for Newcastle (06/07:28,2) before becoming Kidsgrove player-Assistant Manager scoring 9 times. Appointed player-Joint Manager with Anthony Buckle at Congleton Town (2007-10:20,3) in the summer of 2007. Joined Alsager Town as a player in August 2011, then featured again for Kidsgrove (11/12) netting once – his 99th goal for ‘Grove - before again re-joining Newcastle in February 2012.
