Biography
Matty was brought in as cover for Danny Read in September 2004, keeping a clean sheet on his debut – a 1-0 FA Cup win at Sutton Coldfield Town, 04/09/2004. Previously spent three years coming through the youth ranks at Macclesfield Town but was unable to break into the Silkmen’s first team and had a loan stint at Vauxhall Motors.
Signed for Runcorn Town (05/06) before joining FC United of Manchester in January 2006. Did not feature for the Red Rebels’ first team and later took up a career in coaching in the USA.
