Biography

A stylish centre-half, Bob was on the books of Portsmouth and appeared for Winsford United before joining Shrewsbury Town (62/63:1,0lge) in December 1962, making a single League appearance for the Shrews.
Subsequently joined Stafford Rangers (1968-71) before signing for Nantwich in September 1973 and becoming Player-Coach the following season. Took over as trainer in June 1979 and, following the departure of Colin Hutchinson, was named Manager in December 1979.
Relinquished the role at the end of the 79/80 season and later took up a coaching role at Stafford Rangers.
