Biography
Born Burslem, 30 December 1945. Gerry made his First Division debut for Stoke City (1964-66:7,0) during the 1964/65 campaign but was unable to establish himself and was released in May 1967. Signed for Stafford Rangers (1967-73) where he gained a FA Trophy winners’ medal before joining Macclesfield Town. Only appeared in the first two matches (2,0 lge & 0 Cup) of the 74/75 season for the Silkmen, switching to Nantwich in September 1974 but released at the end of a month’s trial. A hairdresser by trade.
