Biography
Played Mid-Cheshire League football with Alsager Training College (67/68) before stepping up to the Northern Premier League with Hyde United (1969-71:28,4). Started his second spell with the Dabbers in February 1972, making his return debut in the 2-1 home defeat to Mossley, 19/02/1972.
Returned to Hyde (1972-73:16,2) and featured for Mid-Cheshire League side Bramhall (77/78) before signing for Macclesfield Town (78/79:0+1,0) appearing for their reserves. Left Macc for a third brief spell with Hyde (79/80:3,0).
A school teacher by profession, he later enjoyed success as an athlete in triathlons.
