Biography

Bob had a lengthy spell between the sticks in the Scottish League for Arbroath (1954-61:188) having been on trial at Stenhousemuir (54/55:1). After serving St.Mirren (1961-63), he came south of the border to join Barnsley (1963-65:46) and although he signed for Leeds United, he didn't make a League appearance for the Elland Road club and moved on to Rochdale (1966-68:36).
Dropped into non-league with Chorley, joining the Dabbers in December 1968 in a deal that saw striker Bill Calder move to Victory Park.
