Biography

Speedy centre-forward who featured in wartime football with Crewe Alexandra. Joined Nantwich from Crewe Alexandra ‘A’ (47/48) in September October 1948. Returned to Gresty Road, playing for Crewe Alexandra ‘B’ (49/50) in the Crewe & District League before re-joining the Dabbers in the summer of 1950. The lanky youngster formed a formidable partnership with Jimmy Cooke in the 50/51 campaign and was selected for Cheshire in their 2-1 win over Derbyshire in the county amateur clash at Buxton in November 1950.

Left London Road for Llandudno Junction, leaders of the Welsh League (North), in February 1951.
