Biography

Served the Dabbers at the end of the 1969/70 Cheshire League campaign, making his debut in the snow-affected home game against Sandbach Ramblers that was abandoned after 37 minutes, 02/03/1970. Also served the Dabbers the following two seasons before appearing for Kidsgrove Athletic. Was a fine servant – and captain – for Congleton Town (1975-80:141,12) in the 70s, helping the Bears to the Mid-Cheshire League and Cheshire Amateur Cup double in 1978. The full back returned to Jackson Avenue from Alsager Town in March 1982, leaving in the summer of 1982. Later managed Congleton Town’s reserves (89/90).
