Biography
Terry started out with Witton Albion (59/60:18,1) in January 1960 stepping up from the reserves to make his senior debut while still a schoolboy at Sir John Deane’s Grammar School. Scored one league goal in 14 Lge and 4 Cup appearances before leaving Albion at the end of the season.
The tricky inside left departed the Central Ground in the summer of 1960 and signed as an apprentice for West Bromwich Albion but a broken leg sadly impeded his progress. Then featured for Barnton (62/63), Middlewich Athletic (63/64), Winsford United and Oswestry Town (64/65). After a trial with Crewe Alexandra, he signed for Ellesmere Port Town (1965-66) before joining Nantwich in the summer of 1967. Scored twice on his debut – a 8-0 home win over Radcliffe Borough Reserves, 19/08/1967.
