Biography
Started his career as a youngster with Crewe Youth Centre before becoming an apprentice at Derby County (1977-79:9,1lge) and progressing to the first team. Tony Waddington brought him to Crewe Alexandra (1979-81:55+10,6) and he then had a successful career in non-league.
Joined Northwich Victoria (1982-83:104,54) after leaving Gresty Road, helping Vics lift the FA Trophy in 1984, scoring in the Wembley Final and replay victory over Bangor City. Later played for Altrincham (1984-85:34+2,11). Joined the Dabbers on loan from Alty in November 1985, and later returned to the club on a permanent basis.
Moved to the USA where he became Director of Coaching and Vice President of San Diego Surf Soccer Club before being appointed Director of Strategic Initiatives of Tennessee United in August 2024.
