Biography

Served Crewe Alexandra before playing Cheshire County League football with Winsford United (47/48). Joined Holywell (55/56) before featuring for Nantwich on trial as a semi-professional in October 1956 at a time when the club was predominantly amateur. Although signed as a full back was used mainly as a forward. Made his debut in the 3-0 defeat at Northern Nomads, 03/11/1956, but suffered a broken leg on a waterlogged pitch at Goostrey later in the season. A resident of John Street in Crewe.
