Biography

Billy was a strong tough-tackling left back who first featured for the club in the early 50s. Moved to Haslington Villa during the 1952/53 season and featured for Sandbach Ramblers before returning to London Road, being appointed club captain.

The diminutive player returned to Sandbach (1956-57) where he was also appointed captain. Re-joined Haslington Villa (58/59) and continued playing into his late 40s.
