Biography

Club stalwart who became trainer in 1936 – occasionally filling in when the team was short of numbers. Billy was appointed Secretary when the club re-formed after World War 2, continuing in post until 1957. Also served the Cheshire FA over many years, helping found the Mid-Cheshire League in 1948 of which he became a Life Vice-President.
