Biography
Born c.1932. Nantwich’s top scorer in the 1960/61 campaign in the Mid-Cheshire League, during which he enjoyed a prolific spell of 17 goals in 18 games.
Ben had previously served league rivals Whitchurch Alport for a decade, having a trial at Burnley in August 1952, and helping Alport to Shropshire Amateur Cup glory in 53/54 and captaining them in the Final of the Welsh Amateur Cup in 58/59. The 29 year old returned to Whitchurch in October 1961.
