Biography
An apprentice with Stoke City who joined Macclesfield Town (1984-85:16) from Newcastle Town serving mainly as understudy to Alan Zelem. Later featured for Buxton (1986-87), moving on to Leek Town (88/89) in the summer of 1988.
Kept goal for Rocester (89/90), Congleton Town (90/91:53) and Kidsgrove Athletic (91/92) before joining Nantwich in the 1992 close season. Made his debut in the 2-2 draw at Bacup Borough, 15/08/1992. Returned to Congleton (92/93) and moved back to Kidsgrove (93/94) in the summer of 1993, leaving Hollinwood Road a year later to re-join Newcastle (1994-95).
