Biography
Strong target man who started out with Whitchurch Alport (1980-81). Joined Witton Albion (82/83:10+1,1) in the 1982 close season, leaving for Nantwich in October 1982, making his debut in the 6-1 defeat at Lancaster City, 16/10/1982.
Moved on to Winsford United in the 1983 close season and then back to Witton (1984-85:25+7,6) in 1985. Briefly returned to Jackson Avenue at the start of the 85/86 season, leaving for Congleton Town (85/86:3) in November 1985 and then moving to Northern Premier League side Caernarfon Town (1985-86). His goals gave the Canaries famous FA Cup victories over Stockport County and York City. Stepped up to Conference football with Northwich Victoria (87/88:29+1,5) and then served Rhyl, Stafford Rangers (88/89:12,2), Shepshed Charterhouse (on loan) and Stalybridge Celtic before returning to Nantwich for a third spell in March 1990.
Again his stay was short-lived and he became Assistant Manager at Winsford United for the 90/91 season and then moved on to Leek Town. Featured for Rolls Royce (92/93) before returning to Congleton (1993-94:29,6). Served Whitegate United before his Nantwich swansong came in March 2001 when he helped the Dabbers to an unlikely 1-0 win at Mossley, more than 18 years after first appearing for the club.
