Biography
Joined Nantwich from Middlewich Athletic in October 1982, making his debut at centre half in the 1-1 home draw with St.Helens Town, 09/10/1982. Soon moved on to Winsford United (1982-83) before being snapped up by Bolton Wanderers in April 1984.
A regular for Bolton (1984-92:195,7lge), he then signed for Chester City (1992-93:47,1) in December 1992. Switched to Exeter City (1994-95:70,5) in July 1994, winning the Player of the Year award in each of his two seasons with the Grecians.
Made a surprise return to Winsford (1996-98), retiring through injury in December 1998, before being appointed Manager (99/00). In 2005 he became Manager at Mid-Cheshire League Barnton, still turning out for the club on occasion. His son, Shaun, also became a footballer with Macclesfield Town.
