Biography

Danny was appointed Nantwich Manager in May 2013. As a player, he was on the books of Manchester United, Preston North End, Salford City, Atherton Collieries, Atherton LR (player/coach 01/02:0+2,0) and Monton Amateurs. He turned to coaching when his playing days were curtailed by injury.

After managing Manchester FA under-18s, he was appointed Manager of Oldham Town in December 2001 but was removed from the post after just 10 games and returned to Atherton LR as a coach. Then managed Leigh RMI reserves before taking the reins at Trafford in November 2003. Developed a useful side, leading to him being appointed Ashton United Manager in April 2007.

Became Ashton’s longest serving manager, plotting their highest ever finish in the Northern Premier League and winning the NPL Challenge Cup before tendering his resignation to take up a new challenge at Nantwich.
Unable to reproduce his success, he parted company with the Dabbers by mutual consent in February 2015 and was quickly appointed Manager at Radcliffe Borough. After a disappointing end to the season, he left Radcliffe at the end of the campaign.
